Kuranda Rainforest Village
Head South for 10 minutes and take a Skyrail ride Kuranda whilst viewing the bird and wildlife. Kuranda is a quaint little township in the rain forest famous for its arts and crafts and Aboriginal artefacts. Take the Kuranda Scenic Railway back down the Rex Range, or return by Skyrail.
The Atherton Tableland
Discover the lush state forests, National Parks, lakes, waterfalls and small villages of the Tableland. There are numerous attractions within this region which can all be accessed via car or coach from Palm Cove within a couple of hours.
Cairns Northern Beaches
There are plenty of beaches to choose from within a small radius of Palm Cove. If by chance you require more than Palm Cove's beauty, you can check out nearby Clifton Beach, Yorkey's Knob, Holloway Beach, Trinity Beach and Ellis Beach.
Cape Tribulation, Daintree & Mossman Gorge

Copperlode Dam
Take a scenic drive to discover this man-made haven, where you can picnic or just take in the views over Cairns out to the ocean. Just a 30 minute drive from Palm Cove.
Crocodile Wildlife Experiences
Visit a Crocodile farm where you can witness crocs being fed or watch them swimming in their natural environment. We can arrange all of this for you.
Opal Mines
Walk through an actual Opal Mine and watch for yourself how the stones are cut and shaped into beautiful jewellery. you also have the opportunity to invest in your own Opal at the end of the tour - the Outback Opal Mine is just a stones throw from your apartment.
White Water Rafting
There are numerous companies which offer white water rafting experiences in and around Cairns. The Barron River is the closest to Palm Cove and day trips can be arranged.
Skyrail Rainforest Cableway
Take this 7.5 Km cableway gliding metres above the rain forest canopy in the Barron Gorge National Park. Enjoy the breath taking views over the forest, over the Barron Falls and descend into the picturesque village of Kuranda. The Skyrail terminal is located only a 10 minute drive from Palm Cove.
